DECOMPOSED GRANITE 1/4" (DG)

DESCRIPTION
Decomposed Granite is like gravel, but finer and generally more stable. It’s formed from the natural weathering and erosion of solid granite, a tough, hard, igneous rock. Granite can have a wide range of colors, ranging from white and gray to pink, red, green, blue, and black. The color is dependent on its mineral composition which is dependent on the location it was formed. In our area, granite's unique mineral composition tend to give it a brown orange hue.
Another unique feature of decomposed granite, over other aggragates, due to its fine size and mineral composition it can be amended to soil for added nutrients and drainage.
*This is a natural gravel screened to 1/4 inch minus; size however, will naturally vary.
